Performance gains you can measure
SiliFume™ Self-Purging Technology
Eliminates the need for external gas injection. Our proprietary active complex thermally decomposes to generate a dense cloud of non-toxic fluoride micro-bubbles. These bubbles maximize surface area for hydrogen diffusion, achieving 65-80% H₂ reduction through chemical thermodynamics rather than mechanical agitation.
Anhydrous Safety System
Manufactured under strict moisture-controlled conditions using thermally dried salts. The formulation is engineered to prevent dangerous steam reactions and minimize corrosive fume evolution, ensuring a safer working environment for foundry operators compared to traditional hydrated chloride fluxes.
Dual-Action Oxide Cleaning
Beyond degassing, KelviFlux utilizes a synergistic fluoride matrix that alters the interfacial tension of aluminum oxides and spinels. This 'wetting' action detaches inclusions from the melt and floats them into a dry, easily skimmable dross, significantly reducing hard spots and machining defects.
High-Yield Dosage Economy
Engineered for maximum reactivity per kilogram. With a standard addition rate of just 0.3-0.5%, KelviFlux reduces chemical consumption and storage requirements. The exothermic reaction facilitates clean dross separation, reducing metallic aluminum loss in the skimmings.
Wide Thermal Stability
Formulated with a eutectic salt carrier system that melts rapidly and uniformly between 720-750°C. This ensures consistent performance across various furnace types (Crucible, Reverberatory, Skelner) without requiring precise temperature soaking periods.
Consistent Granulometry
Processed to a controlled particle size distribution to prevent segregation and dusting. The free-flowing granular form ensures rapid dispersion upon plunging or injection, preventing 'clumping' and ensuring the active ingredients react with the entire melt volume.
How KelviFlux UltraPure™ works for this use case
Advanced chemical thermodynamics for cleaner metal
Activation & Dissolution
Upon introduction to the melt (720-750°C), the eutectic salt carrier melts immediately, dispersing the active ingredients. The thermal energy triggers the controlled decomposition of the SiliFume™ complex.
Technical Note:Ensures uniform distribution without 'hot spots' or violent initial reactions.
Micro-Bubble Nucleation
The active complex releases a sustained stream of reactive fluoride gases (AlF₃/SiF₄). These gases nucleate as thousands of micro-bubbles. Unlike large nitrogen bubbles, these micro-bubbles have a massive collective surface area.
Technical Note:High surface-area-to-volume ratio maximizes mass transfer kinetics.
Hydrogen Diffusion
Following Sieverts' Law, dissolved hydrogen in the aluminum diffuses into the fluoride bubbles where the partial pressure of Hydrogen is near zero. The bubbles trap the hydrogen and buoyantly rise to the surface.
Technical Note:Chemical potential gradient drives H removal without mechanical shearing.
Inclusion Separation
Simultaneously, the fluoride components modify the surface tension between the molten aluminum and oxide impurities. This 'scrubbing' action helps coagulate microscopic inclusions into a dry dross layer for easy removal.
Technical Note:Reduces sludge formation and improves metal yield.
Chemical vs. Mechanical Degassing
Traditional mechanical degassing relies on shearing inert gas (Nitrogen/Argon) into bubbles. While effective, it requires expensive rotors and gas lines. KelviFlux utilizes 'In-Situ Chemical Generation,' where the gas bubbles are created chemically inside the melt itself. This ensures that gas is generated even in dead zones where mechanical rotors might not reach, providing a thorough cleaning effect for complex furnace geometries at a fraction of the energy and equipment cost.

Technical Overview
KelviFlux UltraPure™ is an advanced, cost-efficient degassing flux engineered for Aluminum Die Casting foundries. Using SiliFume™ technology, it generates internal micro-bubbles to remove 65-80% of dissolved hydrogen and floats oxide inclusions without requiring expensive Nitrogen rotary systems. It is optimized for Al-Si alloys (ADC12, A356), PFAS-free, and offers a significant ROI by reducing porosity defects and operating costs compared to mechanical degassing and premium imported brands.
